Candidates line up in Berlin.

BERLIN - Nomination papers are available for the May 14 annual town election. Open voter registration for the annual town meeting, May 7, and the annual town election will be held on Tuesday, April 17, until 8 p.m. All mail registrations must be postmarked by April 17.

Town Clerk Eloise Salls said Denise Crossman, an incumbent for the Library Trustees, Sally Bergen, who serves on the Cemetery Commission, and Nicole McKoon, who is the incumbent on the School Committee, will not be running for re-election.

Angela Yildiz has submitted nomination papers for School Committee. There are no papers out for Library Trustee or Cemetery Commissioner.

The last day to obtain and return nomination papers to the town clerk is Monday, April 9, at 5 p.m. The last day to withdraw a nomination is Wednesday, April 11, at 5 p.m. A minimum of 25 certified voter signatures is needed with a maximum of 32 voter signatures. The Board of Registration must certify that you are a registered voter before you can receive your papers.
