Mario Martinez, 24, of 32 Hitchcock Road, Worcester, was sentenced to two concurrent terms of 2 to 2-1/2 years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, amended from trafficking in cocaine, and possession of heroin with intent to distribute. He was ordered to pay a $150 drug fee and $90 victim witness fee.

Robert Miller, 48, of 6 Burncoat Lane, Leicester, was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to 1 year in the House of Correction, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to driving with a suspended license for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was placed on probation for 5 years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to vandalizing property. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to pay $65 probation fee or to complete community service, and to pay $250 head injury fee, $90 victim witness fee, $50 DUI fee. Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving negligently, failing to stop for police, and leaving an accident scene after property damage were dismissed.

Matthew Murphy, 31, of 6 Chatham Place, Worcester, was sentenced to 2 to 2-1/2 years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to armed robbery (gun). He was placed on probation for 3 years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to receiving a stolen vehicle. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to pay $65 probation fee or to complete community service and to pay $90 victim witness fee. Charges of unarmed robbery and two counts of armed robbery (gun) were nol prossed. A nol pros or nolle prosequi is a court filing reflecting a prosecutor's decision not to proceed with a criminal case after charges have been brought. A charge of failing to stop for police was dismissed.

Saturnino Rodriguez Jr., 41, of 14 Lawnfair St., Worcester, charged with aggravated assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (table), and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60 years old (table), nol prossed. A nol pros or nolle prosequi is a court finding reflecting a prosecutor's decision not to proceed with a criminal case after charges have been brought.
