Judge Daniel A. Ford

Carl Lawrence Laflin, 38, of the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction, West Boylston, was sentenced to four to five years in Walpole State Prison after being found guilty of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older after a jury-waived trial. He was found not guilty on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older after a jury-waived trial.

Brad MacRonald, 25, of 33 Westview Road, Oxford, was sentenced to two and a half years in the House of Correction, with one year to be served, after pleading guilty to being an accessory after the fact of a crime. The balance of the sentence was suspended for two years with probation. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to undergo drug and alcohol evaluations with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department. A charge of armed robbery (knife) was nol prossed. A nol pros, or nolle prosequi, is a court filing reflecting a prosecutor's decision not to proceed with a criminal case after charges have been brought.

Judge Peter W. Agnes Jr.

Cornell Collins, of a last known address of 390 Parker St., Gardner, was placed on three concurrent terms of one year probation after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine, amended from possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (subsequent offense), possession of marijuana, and possession of ammunition without a Firearm ID Card, amended from possession of a firearm without a Firearm ID Card. A charge of drug violation near a school or park was dismissed at the request of the commonwealth.

Judge Bruce R. Henry

Jose Florentino, 42, of 1006 Main St., Worcester, was sentenced to two to three years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. The charge was amended from distribution of cocaine (subsequent offense). He was placed on probation for two years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (subsequent offense). As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free and to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department.

Joseph Agosto-Quinones, 40, of 23 Seymour St., Worcester, charged with violation of an abuse prevention order, found not guilty; assault and assault and battery, dismissed.

Judge David P. Despotopulos

Loriann M. Liberty, 41, of 34 Irving St., Worcester, charged with sexual conduct for a fee, placed on probation for one year, ordered to complete the DAWN program, $50 victim witness fee.

Carlo C. Johnson, 52, of 6 Hacker Court, Worcester, charged with driving with a suspended license, amended from driving with a suspended license (subsequent offense), driving with a suspended registration, and driving an uninsured vehicle, continued without a finding for three months, $100 costs, $50 victim witness fee; backing up on an on/off ramp on a state highway, found responsible, filed; and driving an unregistered vehicle, found not responsible.

Ahmed Jaara, 17, of 17 Upland Gardens Drive, Worcester, charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (knife), continued without a finding for six months, ordered to attend an anger management program, $50 victim witness fee.
