Yeah, yeah, yeah. Valentine's Day was yesterday, but that doesn't mean the romance has to stop immediately. Indeed, it's probably best if it doesn't. And if you're looking for a new romantic anthem, you could do a lot worse than "Everest Isle,'' the latest from local favorites Nemes.

The song -- the third single from the folk-fueled indie rock band's recent album, "I Carry Your Heart'' -- is a high-energy barn burner, propelled at a spirited clip, driven by fast-moving fiddle and warm, earnest vocals.

"I'm not giving up on you, my love,'' croons the chorus, "I know that you gave up on me/but if you know me you know that I don't give up easily.'' And honestly, a lyric like that can sound a little stalkery, can't it? Like the Police with "Every Breath You Take'' -- the "I'm going to keep trying until you fall in love with me''...
