HARDWICK -- According to Linda Tomasi, writer, director and producer of Gilbert Players' latest show "If the Love Fits,'' the show is a "marriage of songs'' featuring contemporary hits and beloved tunes of the Broadway stage. The repertoire includes music from the Stephen Sondheim musical "Company''; the humorous sketch musical "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change,'' written by Joe DiPietro with music by Jimmy Roberts; "Crazy for You,'' written by Ken Ludwig and featuring lyrics by Ira Gershwin and music by George Gershwin; Neil Simon's "Promises, Promises,'' featuring a score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David; the Monty Python musical comedy "Spamalot,'' loosely based on the legend of King Arthur and on the movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail.'' The cast includes many of Gilbert Players' "cream of the crop,'' some of the group's veteran performers who have graced the Abby Theatre stage: Heidi Choe, previously seen as Annie Oakley in "Annie Get Your Gun'' and as the Wicked Witch in the "The Wizard of Oz''; Will Gelinas, who was the Lion in the "The Wizard of Oz'' and Max Bialystock in the Mel Brooks' musical "The Producers''; Deborah Deschamps, previously seen as Sister Mary Amnesia in "Nunsense''; Erik Gladwin, whose Gilbert Players...
