The 6-foot-2 Begnoche came out victorious in the 400 meters with a time of 49.81 to claim the Central Mass. championship at Fitchburg State College's Elliot Field, and then ran to a fourth-place finish in 50.05 at the All-State meet at Durfee High School. Begnoche holds the school record at BMR in the 100, 200 and 400. Begnoche won the state title in the 300 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston last season.
