CLINTON - Jeannette M. (Gravel) Taratuta, 86, of 9 Woodruff Road, died Friday, Oct. 26, at UMass-Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after an illness. Her husband of 44 years, Edward W. Taratuta, died in 1989.

She is survived by a son, Walter E. Taratuta and his wife, Joan, of Leominster; two daughters, Susan T. Niser, wife of the late Omar; and Sandra J. Hilbert, wife of the late Theodore, both of Clinton; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Theresa Gravel and Lucille Houle, predeceased her.

Mrs. Taratuta was born and raised in Clinton, daughter of Albanie E. and Amerilda (Harvey) Gravel, and was a lifelong resident.
