Clinton Savings Bank announced the promotion of Geoffrey Green to branch manager of the Bolton office, where he has served as assistant manager since 2010. In his new position, he will build upon existing customer relationships and maintain the bank's high level of customer service.

"Under Geoff's guidance, I know that the Bolton branch will continue to be a valued financial resource for both local residents and businesses." said Cynthia Konrad, senior vice president and chief retail officer of Clinton Savings Bank. "His efficiency and excellent personal service will continue to enhance the experience the bank provides to each and every customer."

Green is a member of both the Assabet and Nashoba Valley Chambers of Commerce. He is also a Notary Public, which is often useful to bank customers. Before joining Clinton Savings Bank, he was employed by Sovereign Bank for nearly a decade. Green earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond.

In his spare time, Green enjoys skiing, playing soccer and golfing. He resides in Northboro with his wife and two children.

Several local athletes will be part of the Massachusetts Celebration of Girls and Women in Sports Day (GWS Day) on Feb. 1, at Faneuil Hall in Boston. This event runs from 10 a.m. to noon. This year's theme is Girls in Sports: An Investment in the Future. The event is co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and the New Agenda: Northeast.

Emma Caviness, of Nashoba Regional High School, received an honorable mention in the essay contest.

Nashoba Regional High School: Erin O'Donnell, field hockey and softball; and Kim Slade, soccer.

Clinton High School: Natalie Chase, field hockey; and Jillian Hazel, soccer, basketball and softball.

Several local students were named to the Becker College fall dean's list: Benjamin Dow, of Sterling, who is pursuing a degree in biology; Kelsea Rantala, of Sterling, design; Joseph Lajoie, of Sterling, interactive entertainment; Thomas Rozek, of Sterling, interactive entertainment; Robinson Robin, of Lancaster, nursing; and Nicole Bryson, of Clinton, psychology.

Three Sterling residents will be part of the Monty Tech Drama Club's production of "Seussical the Musical."

The show will be presented on Friday, Feb. 8, and Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. in the school's performing arts center.
