WESTMINSTER Rachel M. (Kaustinen) Leppanen, 94, of 1675 Main Street formerly of East Road, Westminster, died Monday, January 8, 2007 at the River Terrace Health Care, in Lancaster after an illness.

She was the wife of the late Eero C. Leppanen who died March 27, 1991.

She leaves two sons and daughters-in-law Eric W. and Francess Leppanen of E. Brookfield, and Paul A. and Joyce Leppanen of Holden; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine M. and John J. Murphy of Leominster; one daughter-in-law Jean Leppanen of Merrimack, N.H., 10 Grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also predeceased by a son Carl E. Leppanen who died in February of 1996, and a sister Gertrude Karkane. Rachel was born on August 10, 1912 in Fitchburg a daughter of the late Nickolai Matti and Amelia Kaustinen.
