Teague's rushing sparks Falcons' NEFC win.

Fitchburg State 34, Maine Maritime 14: Sophomore Steph'fon Teague rushed 15 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns as the host Falcons improved to 2-2.

Teague, a former Fitchburg High star, scored twice in the second quarter from 36 and 5 yards as Fitchburg State (1-0) took a 14-7 lead. He averaged 7.5 yards per carry.

Sophomore Christian Lopez passed for 193 yards and two touchdowns, and junior Jordan Burris had a career-best seven receptions for 152 yards and a TD.

Burris and freshman Cody Titus scored second-half touchdowns.

Titus, the former St. Bernard's High standout, went in from 3 yards in the fourth quarter.

Junior Talib Barksdale had 12 tackles, including 1-1/2 for losses.

Junior Tevin Bienamie had seven solo tackles, and former Fitchburg High player Tyrie Osby added five solo stops and two assists.

Stonehill 26, Assumption 24: The visiting Greyhounds led, 24-13, in the fourth quarter and were driving for a touchdown, but the Skyhawks (3-1, 3-0 Northeast-10) returned an interception 98 yards for the winning points.

Bobby Jordan's 29-yard pass to Matt Pedone of Holden moved Assumption (1-3, 1-2) into the red zone with just over seven minutes left, but Kevin Anderson made his second pickoff of the game at the 2 and ran up the far sideline for the winning score.

Jordan passed for 211 yards and two touchdowns, both to tight end Scott Simonson. Mike Uva forced a fumble, recovered one, and blocked a punt that set up a Greyhounds touchdown.

Jon Wozney led the team with seven tackles.

RPI 39, WPI 17: Jacob Grills threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns, but visiting WPI was held to 211 yards and sacked four times as Rennsselaer won the Transit Trophy for the first time in three years.

RPI leads the series, 22-10-1.
