Holy Cross 4, Albany 3;

St. John's 13, Holy Cross 4: Sophomore Mike Ahmed notched his first career save while head coach Greg DiCenzo tallied his 100th career win for the Crusaders (7-7), who held on to defeat the Great Danes (4-12) in concluding action of the St. John's Red Storm Tournament at Kaiser Stadium in Queens, N.Y.

The Crusaders led, 4-0, after seven innings thanks to two RBIs by Jordan Enos and RBIs by Patrick Puentes and Stephen Wadsworth. Albany rallied for two runs in the eighth and a run in the ninth, as Ahmed entered to get three outs, leaving two runners on base.

Earlier in the day, the Crusaders trailed the tourney host Red Storm, 9-0, after six innings en route to the loss. Alex Moldonado and Puentes each had two hits for the Crusaders.
