LEOMINSTER - Police said a 13-year-old boy charged with shooting out a school bus window with a BB gun yesterday was on the same bus just minutes before and told other students what he planned to do.

Police Lt. Michael Goldman said the boy was quickly arrested and is being held at a secure juvenile facility on $2,000 cash bail.

Lt. Goldman said police received a call about 2:45 p.m.

from a bus driver for First Student Inc. that a bus, which was carrying around 30 Sky View Middle School students, had been hit by some kind of projectile near the intersection of Spruce and Laurel streets.

He said police quickly determined a BB pellet had smashed a window on the bus door. There were no injuries. Six other students and the driver identified the boy and, after a quick search, a school resource officer found the boy hiding at the library downtown. He was arrested and charged with assault...
