2 face charges in Leicester burglaries.

LEICESTER - Leicester police arrested an Auburn man and a Worcester woman about 3 yesterday morning in connection with several burglaries in the Cherry Valley section of town.

Police Chief James J. Hurley said officers received a report that two suspicious people were walking around the Main Street area not far from the Worcester line. Officers Ron Tarentino and Craig Guertin went to the area and found a woman coming out of the woods along Route 9 and located a man in the same area a short time later.

After a brief investigation, the officers recovered several items they suspected were stolen, including two GPS systems, a portable phone and an iPod. They traced several objects back to a vehicle that had been broken into a short distance away.
