2 injured, 1 seriously, in car accident.

DUDLEY - Two people were injured, one seriously, in an accident on Southbridge Road yesterday afternoon.

Police did not identify the driver of a 2004 Ford Escort that collided with a 1992 Toyota Camry around 3:30 p.m., but said she was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus in Worcester with what they described as serious injuries.

Police said the accident occurred in the area of 71 Southbridge Road, also known as Route 131.

The driver of the Toyota, a 37-year-old man from Rocky Hill, Conn., was taken to Harrington Hospital in Southbridge with what police said they believed were non-life-threatening injuries.

No other cars or passengers were involved, police said.
