Both teams have struggled this season with Mark Ellis' young Rangers and Bill Long's Tomahawks both under .500. Both teams come into Thanksgiving coming off big victories, though. Algonquin came from behind to beat Gardner, 43-36, with senior Mike Vulcano throwing for five touchdowns. Vulcano has been one of the top quarterbacks in the area this year, passing for 16 touchdowns and 1,333 yards. Eric Taggert and Brian Bachand have keyed the defense. After being shutout in its first three games, Westboro has found its offense, averaging 28 points in its last three contests, including a 21-0 win over Burncoat on Nov. 15. Brian Gove and Dave Orlando have been bright spots for the Westboro offense as Gove leads the Rangers with 493 rushing yards. Rob O'Connor has been solid on both sides of the ball, rushing for over 400 yards and leading the team with four sacks. Orlando and Dave Thomas each have two picks.
