'All Things Irish' kicks off the season March 1.

CLINTON -- "All Things Irish,''a fundraiser for the Polus Center for Social and Economic Development, will be held Saturday, March 1, at the Old Timer Restaurant, 155 Church St.

The Polus Center is a Clinton-based nonprofit organization that promotes opportunities for people with disabilities and members of other vulnerable groups in Massachusetts to become active citizens.

The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a presentation by author, storyteller and photographer Kevin O'Hara, author of "A Lucy Irish Lad'' and "Donkey Pilgrim.'' He will present a multimedia account of his 1,800-mile trek along the coast of Ireland on foot with his donkey, Missie.

Introducing and closing his presentation will be performances by fiddle students from the Bolton Community Music School.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m., The Ivy Leaf, a Boston-based traditional Irish band, featuring fiddles, flute and whistle, concertina, bouzouki, guitar and vocals, will perform. Joining the Ivy Leaf will be Irish step dancer Rachel McGown from the Irish Rhythm School, in Clinton.

The rest of the evening will feature Irish ballads and favorite tunes by Seamus Pender, from 7:30 to 9 p.m...
