Fitchburg 43, Shrewsbury 42: Junior Julio Alvarez scored a game-high 15 points to lead the visiting eighth-ranked Red Raiders (7-3, 4-0 Mid-Wach A) past the 10th-ranked Colonials (6-3, 2-1).
Junior Will Michalski had 11 points, including six in the fourth quarter, for Shrewsbury.
Algonquin 54, Wachusett 45: Junior Brett Sexton posted career highs in points (10) and rebounds (12) to help lead the Tomahawks (5-3, 3-2 Mid-Wach A) past the visiting Mountaineers (1-10, 0-3).
Senior Bobby Reynolds added 14 points, and classmate Graham Turner had eight points and 13 rebounds for Algonquin.
Ben Pierce had a team-high nine points for Wachusett.
Bartlett 66, Auburn 43: Bob Mitchell scored 18 points and Nick Kobel 14 to lead the visiting Indians (3-5, 3-5 SWCL).
Senior guard Antonio Leatham scored 14 points for Auburn (1-10, 1-8).
Bethany Christian 49, St. Mary's 45: Senior Steve Rice had a team-high 19 points, junior Johnny Norton had 18 points, and Bethany Christian (5-3, 3-0 WCAC) upended visiting St. Mary's (6-3, 3-2).
Senior Travis Vandale had a game-high 24 points for St. Mary's.
Blackstone-Millville 48, Douglas 41: Tyler Plante scored 10 of his game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter to help the visiting Chargers (1-7, 1-4 Dual Valley Conference) post their first victory.
Nate Pajka (4-4, 2-3) paced the Tigers with 12 points.
Clinton 65, Bromfield 42. Sergio Colon had 7 blocked shots to go with his 12 points and 8 rebounds for the host Gaels (6-4, 2-1 Mid-Wach C), who raced to a 23-4 first-quarter lead. Tyler Shepherd scored 11 for Bromfield (1-6, 0-3).
Gardner 63, Westboro 58: Sophomore Jahmall Jones scored 32 points and had 16 rebounds as the host Wildcats (2-8, 2-3 Mid-Wach B) defeated the Rangers (5-4, 2-2).
Steve Guercio (14 points) made 5 of 7 free throws in the fourth quarter for Gardner. Westboro's Nick Mastrogiacomo and Nate Judd each had 13 points.
Groton-Dunstable 53, Quabbin 42: Senior forwards Ryan Romick (13 points) and Cam Wilcox (10) each scored eight points in the third quarter as the sixth-ranked Crusaders (8-1, 3-0) outscored the host Panthers (3-6, 2-1), 20-5, to break open a one-point game.
Danny Eipp and Brian McCarron each added 11 points for Groton-Dunstable, which led 23-22 at the half.
Shawn Gareau paced Quabbin with 18 points.
