Boys' soccerWachusett 3, Marlboro 0: Junior Ben Amaral scored twice and junior Rich Russell once to lead the host Mountaineers (2-0-0) past the Panthers (0-2-0). Junior Chris Couming added two assists, and senior Brennan Goehl recorded his second shutout.

Leicester 5, Uxbridge 0: Juniors Matt Kilmonis and Nick Bleau each scored twice, and senior Nuru Lawal had a goal as the visiting Wolverines (1-1, 1-1 SWCL) topped the Spartans (0-2, 0-2). Sophomore Zack Ford (seven saves) posted the shutout.

Groton-Dunstable 2, Nashoba 1: Tyler Belanger's unassisted goal in the 71st minute won it for the visiting Crusaders (1-0-1). Dan McGuinness scored G-D's first goal. Shea Cruikshank scored for the Chieftains (0-2), assisted by Dan Romhanyi.

Auburn 2, Grafton 1: Richie Augusto scored the winning goal in the 34th minute to propel the visiting Rockets (2-0). Chris Leonardi scored for the Indians (0-2-1).

Bartlett 2, Northbridge 1: Evan Anderson scored the winning goal in the 28th minute of the second half off a throw-in from Justin Pepka for the host Indians (2-0). Dylan Murphy had Bartlett's other goal. Jason Ganley scored in the first half for the Rams (1-1).

Springfield Central 3, Tantasqua 1: Luke Gerrish scored on a penalty kick for the host Warriors (0-3), who fell to the Golden Eagles.

Westboro 6, Leominster 2: Seniors Steven Frame and Carter Reynolds and junior Jameson Bradley each had a goal and an assist, and seniors Jamie Plowman, Ethan Peterson and Alex Hoban also scored for the visiting Rangers (3-0). Arthur Elbthal and Nahuel Algibay scored for the Blue Devils (0-2).

North 0, Nipmuc 0: Keepers Angelo Perrone of North (1-0-1) and Sam Manning of Nipmuc (0-0-2) posted shutouts at Commerce Bank Field at Foley Stadium.

Boys' cross-country

St. Peter-Marian 19, Burncoat 45: Dan Jodrey (15:06), Dominic Mastromatteo (15:21) and Nate Pickett (15:22) took the top three spots for the host Guardians (1-1) on their 2.6-mile course. Christian Vera finished fourth in 16:06 for the Patriots (0-1).

BMR 20, Douglas 39: Matt Picard (16:38) of the Tigers (0-1) paced all runners on the 3-mile course but Zach Taylor (17:42), Nathan Carroll (18:08), Zachary Morin (18:20) and Connor McNamara (18:28) took the next four spots for the visiting Chargers (1-0).

Wachusett 26, Algonquin 29: Sam Brazer (16:26) of the Tomahawks (0-1) finished first on his 3-mile home course, but the Mountaineers (1-0) placed the next two, Tim Fitzgerald (16:50) and Cole Burgess (17:01), to win.
