There should be a good "ambience'' at the opening reception for a new exhibition at the Krikorian Gallery of the Worcester Center for Crafts from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7.

The exhibition "Ambient Folklore'' -- which runs until Sept. 27 -- features nine artists who "express the diversity of the visual language today as well as how we creatively acknowledge the importance of myths and folklores,'' according to guest curator Luis Antonio Fraire. Each artist has a certain technique for transmitting information visually that creates "ambient folklore.''
