WEST BOYLSTON - Anne J. (Volk) (Bosowski) "MA" Smith, 86, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, at UMass Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband of 46 years, Howard E. Smith, predeceased her in 1997.

She leaves nine children, Nancy Picard of Sterling, Michael Bosowski of Daytona Beach, Fla., Joseph Bosowski of West Boylston, Susan St. Francis of Worcester, Marlene Carlson of Shrewsbury, James Smith of Worcester, Jonathan Smith of Worcester, Lillian Wood, and Roberta McNamara of Shrewsbury; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Dixie. Anne also had five step-children, Howard Smith Jr., Dorothy Belanger, Ronald and Robert Smith, and Barbara Kacavich and many nephews and nieces.
