WORCESTER Anthony J. Polletta, 59, of Worcester and formerly of Hartford, Conn., died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the UMass Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

He leaves his wife, Joan Sheary; his mother, Nicolina Rinaldi Polletta of Wethersfield, Conn., his children, Adria Polletta and her husband Michael Clark of Providence, R.I., Adam Polletta and his wife Colleen of Worcester, and Casey Tinsley and his wife Mary of Camp Hill, Penn.; and three grandchildren, Siena Clark, and Brenna and Allison Tinsley.

Anthony was born in Pontelandolfo, Italy and was the son of the late Giuseppe Polletta.

Anthony owned Sliver Design and Construction Co. and for the past ten years, had been an executive at Woodmeister Corp.

He was a former board member of the Worcester Art Museum, the Worcester Boys & Girls Club and was a member of the Sons of Italy.
