Arthur John "Chick" Mulrain, 85MASHPEE - Arthur J. Mulrain, MASHPEE u Arthur John "Chick" Mulrain, 85, of Mashpee and formerly Worcester, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Cape Cod Hospital. Born in Worcester, Arthur was the son of Arthur and Anna Mulrain. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce (Green) Mulrain, his son, Michael J. Mulrain and wife Carolyn of Westborough, and daughter Allison J. Kenyon and husband Jeffrey of Northbridge and his four grandchildren, Katherine and Melanie Mulrain and Ryan and Jocelyn Kenyon. He is also survived by his brother Robert Mulrain and his wife Arlene of Webster. After graduating from South High School in 1947, he was drafted into the United States Army and served on the front lines of the Korean War conflict as a Corporal. He was awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded in battle. After being honorably discharged in 1953, he returned home from the war and graduated from Fitchburg State College with a teaching degree. He later earned a master's degree in education from Worcester State College and a master's degree in school psychology from Assumption College. He would then dedicate nearly 40 years of his professional life teaching and counseling students in the Northborough-Southborough school systems.
