In addition to letters, the Telegram & Gazette each year publishes more than 200 opinion pieces under the heading "As I See It.''

We accept unsolicited contributions for consideration. Submissions should be approximately 750 words in length, and include brief biographical information on the author. We prefer submissions by one author, although in some cases we publish co-authored pieces.

Submissions should not have appeared previously elsewhere, whether in print or online.

We give preference to local authors writing on local issues, but we hold these columns to a higher standard than letters to the editor, and cannot guarantee publication
