Augusta 'Gus' Rosen.

WORCESTER Augusta J. "Gus" Rosen, 95, of Worcester, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 12th 2011 at Saint Vincent Hospital.

Born in Norwich, CT, Augusta moved to Worcester in 1946. She was a retired head secretary, gift shop owner and office worker.

She is survived by her two sons: Jeffrey Rosen of Boxford, MA and Gary Rosen, a former Worcester City councilor and his wife, Maria; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Barney Rosen, who died in 1978.

Augusta was a proud and loving mother. A Life Master in the game of Bridge, she also enjoyed writing, reading, painting and travel throughout New England.

She followed and loved politics at all levels. A life-long and loyal Democrat, Augusta looked forward to voting in every election. Her...
