HOLDEN Chester "Chip" Mason Marshall, of Malden Street, succumbed to cancer on Tuesday, ebruary 9, 2010 at the age of 81.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, ayle C. (Browning) Marshall; a son, len P. Marshall and his wife Anita of Holden; two daughters, aith M. Keskula and her husband Rob of Holden and Abbey M. Marshall and her companion Paul Daugherty of len Rose, TX; and two granddaughters, Anna Keskula of Northampton and Laura Keskula of Oakham. He was a 1946 graduate from Holden High School and attended the University of Maine.

Chip was born in Bangor, Maine, the son of Leon O. and Marjorie E. (Strout) Marshall, and lived most of his life in Holden. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps at the end of World War II and the U.S. Army Airborne Division during the Korean conflict. He was a self-employed carpenter and was also an owner and operator, along with his wife, of Mapledale Horse Stables in Holden...
