Wilfredo Santiago, 49, of 115 Chester St., Fitchburg, sentenced to 2 to 3 years in Walpole state prison after pleading guilty to distribution of heroin. A charge of drug violation near a school or park was dismissed at the request of the commonwealth.

Ryan P. Whalen, 27, of 23 Chandler St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery, continued to Aug. 23 on $500 cash bail.

Paul A. Young, 44, of Dorchester, charged with unarmed robbery, assault and battery, kidnapping, intimidation to steal from a depository, attempted murder, larceny of a vehicle, using a vehicle without authority, and intimidation of a witness, continued to Aug. 20 on $10,000 cash bail.

Juan J. Correa, 34, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana, and conspiracy to violate a drug law, continued to Aug. 20 on $10,000 cash bail.

Ramon Vega-Rosario, 19, of Holyoke, charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest, continued to Aug. 31.

Rashida McGowan, 24, of 11 Clifton St., Worcester, charged with failing to use care when turning, found responsible, fined $100; and driving with a suspended registration, dismissed.

Charles T. Gilchrest Jr., 51, of 26 Oak Pond Ave., Millbury, charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and three counts of rape of a child with force, continued to Aug. 20 on $20,000 cash bail.

Andrew P. Stanhope, 24, of 21 Sumac Circle, Holden, charged with armed assault with intent to rob (handgun), armed robbery (handgun), armed carjacking (handgun), and armed kidnapping (firearm), continued to Aug. 20 on $10,000 cash bail.

Alfred M. Harris, 23, of 113 Ledgecrest Drive, Worcester, charged with distribution of cocaine, drug violation near a school or park, disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest, continued to Aug. 20 on $500 cash bail.
