Judge Richard T. Tucker

Timothy Hutchings, 46, of 29 Woodford St., Worcester, was sentenced to 4 to 6 years in Walpole state prison after being found guilty by a jury on a charge of aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He was placed on probation for 5 years, to begin upon his release, after being found guilty by a jury on a charge of assault and battery. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to attend and complete a batterers' program, to have no contact with the victim, to obey custody orders, and to pay $65 monthly probation fee. He was found not guilty by a jury on charges of kidnapping and armed assault with intent to murder.

Daniel Dinqui, 46, of 47 Limerick St., Gardner, was charged with trafficking in heroin, morphine, or opium and possession of heroin with intent to distribute (subsequent offense). The charges were nolle prossed. A nol pros or nolle prosequi is a court filing reflecting a prosecutor's decision not to proceed with a criminal case after charges have been brought.

Kevin W. Nichols, 34, of 17 Ward Farm Circle, Worcester, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent (second offense), sentenced to 60 days in the House of Correction; marked lanes violation and speeding, found not responsible; and driving without a license, dismissed.

Christopher Mason, 25, of 501 Stafford St., Worcester, charged with two counts of violation of a harassment prevention order, continued to March 2.

Leshawn E. Parrish, 31, of 36 John St., Worcester, charged with assault with intent to commit a felony, attempting to commit a crime (kidnapping), and giving a false name or Social Security number to police, continued to Feb. 15 on $1,500 cash bail; driving negligently, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, trespassing, and driving with a suspended license, continued to Feb. 15 on $500 cash bail; and giving a false name or Social Security number to police, continued to Feb. 15 on $500 cash bail.

Luis A. Colon, 23, of 69 England Ave., Fitchburg, charged with driving with a suspended license, dismissed, $100 costs; and having no inspection sticker on a vehicle, found responsible, filed.

Francisco Albino Jr., 23, of 24 Plimpton St., Southbridge, charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and assault and battery, continued to Feb. 28.

Elie Thegenus, 32, of Boston, charged with driving an uninsured vehicle, failing to wear a seat belt, and driving an unregistered vehicle, continued to Feb. 28.
