Michael K. Bowman, 23, of 8 Woodcliffe Ave., Worcester, was sentenced to two years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to larceny from a person. The charge was amended from armed robbery. He was placed on two concurrent terms of four years' probation, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to have no contact with the victim, to undergo drug and alcohol evaluations with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, and to submit to random drug tests. A charge of malicious destruction of property under $250 was dismissed at the request of the commonwealth.

David Colon, 22, of 15 Oxford Ave., Dudley, was sentenced to two and a half years in the House of Correction, with 18 months to be served, after pleading guilty to aggravated assault. The balance of the sentence was suspended for two years with probation. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to have no contact with the victim and to attend a batterer's program.

Israel Vega, of the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction, West Boylston, was sentenced to two to three years in Walpole state prison after pleading guilty to arson of a dwelling house. He was placed on probation for five years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to undergo drug and alcohol evaluations with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department and to submit to random drug tests. A charge of burning a building was dismissed.

Michael G. Provost, 37, of 104 Plimpton St., Southbridge, was found not guilty by a jury on charges of statutory rape of a child, three counts of incest, and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over.

Alfred A. Elliott, 32, of 35 Barclay St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct, placed on probation for one year, ordered not to abuse the victim; and breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, dismissed.

Martin S. Brooks, 40, of 38 Seymour St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (blunt object), dismissed without prejudice.

Michael A. Demma, 26, of 31 Elizabeth St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery, dismissed without prejudice upon payment of bar advocate fee.

Tyrone T. Singleton, 35, of 8 Caroline St., Worcester, charged with resisting arrest and larceny from a person, sentenced to two concurrent terms of 18 months in the House of Correction; disturbing the peace, sentenced to a concurrent term of six months in the House of Correction; assault with a dangerous weapon (knife), unarmed robbery, and disorderly conduct, dismissed.

Herr IV, 29, of 3 Kosta St., Worcester, charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, sentenced to one year in the House of Correction, suspended for one year with probation, ordered to remain drug-free, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, and to submit to random drug tests, $50 victim witness fee; and possession of marijuana (subsequent offense), filed with a guilty finding.

Rafael Ortiz, 23, of 20 Clifton St., Worcester, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent, continued without a finding for one year, ordered to attend a driver alcohol education program, loss of license for 45 days, $250 state fee, $250 head injury fee, $50 victim's assessment fee, $50 victim witness fee; and marked lanes violation, found not responsible.

Julian G. Branniff Jr., 61, of 59 Evelyn St., Worcester, charged with possession of a firearm without a firearm ID card, continued without a finding for one year, $50 victim witness fee; and carrying a firearm without a license, dismissed.

Tyler S. Blais, 22, of 285 Heard St., Worcester, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent, continued without a finding for one year, ordered to attend a driver alcohol education program, loss of license for 45 days, $250 state fee, $250 head injury fee, $50 victim's assessment fee, $50 victim witness fee; and failing to stop or yield, found responsible, filed.
