Brian P. McLaughlin, 46, of 21 Catharine St., Worcester, was sentenced to two-and-a-half to three years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to unarmed assault with intent to rob. He was placed on probation for three years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to assault and battery. As a condition of probation, he was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department.

Randall Martin, 40, of 70 Russell St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (telephone) and intimidation of a witness, sentenced to two concurrent terms of 18 months in the House of Correction, with 65 days to be served, balance suspended for one year, ordered to attend a batterers' program.

Deborah L. Beilen, 40, of 81 Elm St., Worcester, charged with larceny over $250 by a single scheme, placed on probation for one year, ordered to stay away from the victim and to pay $2,200 restitution.

Jimmy Iglesias, 17, of 5 King St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery, dismissed.

Heather Garcia, 20, of 85 Pine St., Southbridge, charged with possession of marijuana, dismissed upon payment of bar advocate fee.

Lissette Vasquez, 35, of 47 Vernon St., Worcester, charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, fined $625, $50 victim witness fee, $100 drug analysis fee; and drug violation near a school or park, dismissed.

Derrick D. Amoh, 27, of 36 Grosvenor St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (40 oz. bottle) and assault and battery, dismissed.

Bradley C. Casey, 47, of 28 King St., Worcester, charged with assault, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot), and resisting arrest, sentenced to three concurrent terms of two years in the House of Correction, with six months to be served, balance suspended for 18 months, ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free, to submit to random drug tests, to attend an anger management program, to abide by a restraining order, and not to abuse of victim, $90 victim witness fee; and assault and battery, placed on probation for 18 months.

Michael S. Lara, 48, of 707 Main St., Worcester, charged with disorderly conduct, continued without a finding for three months; disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct, filed without a plea or finding; resisting arrest and disturbing the peace, dismissed.

Emmanuel Teye, 46, of 115 Chandler St., Worcester, charged with driving with a suspended registration, driving an uninsured vehicle, failing to wear a seat belt, and trespassing, continued to Oct. 16.

Daniel L. Powers, 21, of 42 Alvarado Ave., Worcester, charged with resisting arrest, continued to Oct. 8 on $1,000 cash bail; driving with a revoked license for being a habitual traffic offender, failing to use care when starting, stopping, turning, or backing up, and refusing to identify himself to police, continued to Oct. 8.

Worcester, charged with driving without a license, found responsible, fined $500.

Rogerio Depaula, 26, of Dennishill, N.Y., charged with driving without a license, found responsible, fined $500; and license plate violation, found responsible, fined $35.

Obadiah Horton, 20, of 12 Dartmouth St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife or cutting instrument), continued to Oct. 8 on $1,000 cash bail.

Alexander T. Olivencia, 17, of 54 Rodney St., Worcester, charged with trespassing, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and possession of an open container of alcohol in public, continued to Oct. 10.

German Antonio Echevarria, 22, of 82 Providence St., Worcester, charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and drug violation near a school or park, continued to Oct. 8 on $1,000 cash bail.

Mikail Mancebo, 18, of 41 Rockdale Ave., Fitchburg, charged with driving without a license, continued to Oct. 10.

Joshua D. Averett, 20, of 9 Arcadia St., Grafton, charged with driving with a suspended license, fined $625, $50 victim witness fee; failing to signal and speeding, found not responsible.
