Judge Peter W. Agnes Jr.

Paul Simonds, 18, of Stoughton, was placed on probation for two years after pleading guilty to possession of a counterfeit note. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation, with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department.

Robert Solano, 26, last-known address of 116 Charlton St., Southbridge, was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in the House of Correction in West Boylston after pleading guilty to assault and battery. The balance of the sentence was suspended for three years with probation. He was placed on probation for three years after pleading guilty to threatening to commit a crime. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to undergo a drug evaluation with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to submit to random drug tests, and to attend an anger management program. Charges of kidnapping and assault with intent to rape were dismissed at the request of the commonwealth.

Judge Bruce R. Henry

Christian Heenan, 25, of 63 Harley Drive and 64 Kalmar St., Worcester, was sentenced to two concurrent terms of two years in the House of Correction in West Boylston, after pleading guilty to selling or possessing an assault weapon and possession of a large-capacity firearm. He was placed on probation for two years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm without a firearm ID card. As a condition of probation, he was ordered not to possess firearms.

Judge Mary-Lou Rup

Barney McGillan, 39, of Torrington, Conn., sentenced to five concurrent terms of 3 years to 3 years and a day in Walpole State Prison, after pleading guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony and putting a person in fear, larceny over $250, extortion by threat of injury, and intimidation of a witness. He was also sentenced to two concurrent terms of 2-1/2 years in the House of Correction in West Boylston, after pleading guilty to assault and battery and stalking. He was placed on two concurrent terms of 2 years' probation, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to threatening to commit a crime and making annoying telephone calls. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to undergo drug and alcohol evaluations with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to have no direct or indirect contact with the victim's family, to attend anger management classes and to attend a batterer's program.

Stephen M. Hesselton, 26, of 254 May St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (door frame), dismissed.

Judge Austin T. Philbin

Shirley Neeland, 38, of 39 Pine St., Whitinsville, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent, found not guilty; driving without a license, fined $100; marked lanes violation, found responsible, fined $100; and speeding, found responsible, fined $100.

Eduardo A. Fonseca, 36, of 101 Gage St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery, found not guilty.
