Brian Fontaine, 19, of 49 Beech St., Fitchburg, was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in the House of Correction, with one year to be served, after pleading guilty to breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony and putting a person in fear. The balance of the sentence was suspended for three years with probation. He was placed on two concurrent terms of three years probation after pleading guilty to assault with intent to commit a felony, amended from armed assault with intent to rob, and assault and battery. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to have no direct or indirect contact with the victims, to remain drug and alcohol free, no gang association, and to maintain employment or schooling. A charge of armed assault in a dwelling was filed with a guilty finding. A charge of home invasion was dismissed at the request of the commonwealth.
