The following correction was published in the Jan. 12, 2009 edition of the Telegram & Gazette.

A charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent (second offense) and a marked-lanes violation against Catharine M. Lamoureux, 44, of 47A North Lear Ave., Shrewsbury, were continued at Westboro District Court until Feb. 12. Because of a reporter's error, the defendant's name was incorrect in Courthouse Records published Dec. 30 in the Telegram & Gazette.

Worcester Superior Court

Judge Peter W. Agnes Jr.

Carmen Hernandez, 43, of 1301 Main St., Fitchburg, charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm without a Firearm Identification Card. The charges were dismissed at the request of the commonwealth.

Douglas Gerulis, 25, of 4 Farwell St., Worcester, sentenced to 3 years to 3 years and a day in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to possession of a large capacity firearm. He was sentenced to three concurrent terms of 2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to three counts of possession of a firearm without a Firearm Identification Card. A charge of possession of marijuana was filed after a guilty plea. Three counts of firearm violation with one prior violent or drug crime were dismissed.

Judge Paul S. Waickowski

Christopher A. Monti, 24, of 88 Country Lane, Marlboro, charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol (second offense), failure to stop for police, motor vehicle lights violation, and driving a motor vehicle with no inspection sticker, continued to March 4.

Steven F. Sowa, 24, of 10 Mayberry Dr., No. 5, Westboro, charged with possession of heroin and conspiracy to violate drug laws, continued to Feb. 18.

David R. Halterman, 25, of 24 Woody Island Road, Hopkinton, charged with possession of heroin and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

James A. Thompson Jr., 58, of 3 Evans Road, West Boylston, charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (second offense), and marked lanes violation, continued to Feb. 18.

Arien J. Monti, 27, of 64 Crestwood Drive, Southbridge, charged with possession of heroin and shoplifting, continued to Feb. 4.

Eliot J. Rodriguez, 26, of 64 Crestwood Drive, Southbridge, charged with possession of heroin, shoplifting, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest, continued to Feb. 4, bail set at $5,000 cash.

Randy P. Richard, 30, of 53 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Leominster, charged with assault and battery, continued to March 6.

Freddy A. Fernandez, 19, of 20 Stevens Road, Westboro, charged with larceny of a credit card and breaking and entering a vehicle in the nighttime for felony, continued to Feb. 26.

Melvin G. Fernandez, 20, of 18 Stevens Road, Westboro, charged with larceny of a credit card, breaking and entering a vehicle in the nighttime for felony, and improper use of a credit card under $250 (three counts), continued to Feb. 26.

Ramon J. Roman, 19, of 108 Norfolk St., Worcester, charged with driving with a suspended license and refusing to identify himself to police, continued without a finding for three months, $100 costs, $50 victim witness fee.

Chad R. Levins, 25, of 24 Neptune Drive, Worcester, charged with assault and battery, continued without a finding for one year, ordered to attend 30 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings within three months and to have no contact with the victim, $50 victim witness fee.
