Judge John S. McCann

Candido Tomasini, 26, of 10 Albee St., Fitchburg, was sentenced to 5 to 6 years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to armed assault with intent to murder. He was sentenced to a concurrent term of 2-1/2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to assault and battery on a police officer. He was sentenced to two concurrent terms of 2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to assault and battery and resisting arrest. He was sentenced to two concurrent terms of 10 days in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to driving negligently and driving with a suspended license. He was placed on four concurrent terms of 6 years' probation, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and intimidation of a witness. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to undergo drug and alcohol evaluations with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to submit to random drug tests, to have no contact with the victim or the victim's family, and to not possess guns or knives during probation period.

David Grady, 40, of 701 Main St., Worcester, charged with receiving stolen property over $250, two counts of credit card fraud over $250, four counts of larceny over $250, breaking and entering into a vehicle or boat in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, and breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, placed on probation for 2 years, ordered to reman drug- and alcohol-free, to submit to random drug tests, to attend 90 AA meetings in 90 days, and three AA meetings a week thereafter, and to pay $4,860 restitution.

Richard K. Harwood, 19, of 63 Bowker St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery on a police officer, found not guilty.

Brian A. Ciaschini, 21, of 19 Ottoson Way, Holden, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent, found not guilty; marked lanes violation, found responsible, fined $100; and vehicle lights violation, found responsible, filed.

Justin R. Panarelli, 20, of 12 Aitchison St., Worcester, charged with vandalizing property, placed on probation for 1 year, ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free, to submit to random drug tests, to attend 90 AA meetings in 90 days and three AA meetings a week thereafter, and to pay $500 restitution; throwing an object on a public way, fined $125, $50 victim witness fee; disorderly conduct, fined $125; resisting arrest and disturbing the peace, filed with a guilty finding.

Aria Ward, 31, of 1 Nixon Ave., Worcester, charged with malicious destruction of property over $250, dismissed upon payment of $1,200 restitution.
