Judge John S. McCann

Basilio Rodriguez-Cabrera, 30, of Lawrence, sentenced to 3 to 4 years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to trafficking in cocaine. He was placed on probation for two years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to possession of heroin with intent to distribute. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department and not to possess weapons or knives. Charges of giving a false name or Social Security number to police and making a false application for a license were filed after guilty pleas.

Judge Richard T. Tucker

Heriberto Lopez, 31, of 28 John St., Worcester, sentenced to 5 to 6 years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to distribution of heroin. The charge was amended from distribution of heroin (subsequent offense). He was placed on two concurrent terms of two years probation, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to two counts of carrying a loaded firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The charges were amended from two counts of firearm violation with two prior violent or drug crimes. As a condition of probation, he was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department. A charge of possession of marijuana was filed after a guilty plea. A charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (subsequent offense) was dismissed.

Judge C. Brian McDonald

Thomas Williamson, 42, of 2 Lloyd Dyer Drive, Spencer, sentenced to 2 years in the House of Correction after being found guilty by a jury of assault and battery. He was found not guilty by a jury on charges of kidnapping and threatening to commit a crime.

Reina I. Ramos, 48, of 44 Byron St., Worcester, charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol (fourth offense), found not guilty; driving with a suspended license (second or subsequent offense), amended from driving with a suspended license for driving while under the influence of alcohol, sentenced to 90 days in the House of Correction, with eight days to be served, balance suspended for one year with probation, ordered to remain drug and alcohol free and to submit to random drug tests, $50 victim witness fee; marked lanes violation, found not responsible; and possession of an open container of alcohol in public, dismissed.

Judge Austin T. Philbin

Lyonel T. Williams, 26, of 541 Park Ave., Worcester, charged with distribution of cocaine, found not guilty.

William P. Dodge, 39, court records list addresses as 155 Mill St. and 765 Main St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife), two counts of assault and battery, and malicious destruction of property of more than $250, dismissed upon payment of bar advocate fee.
