James Evans, 33, of 93 Southgate St., Worcester, was sentenced to three concurrent terms of 6 years to 6 years and a day in Walpole state prison after being found guilty of possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a firearm while not at home or work, amended from firearm violation with one prior violent or drug crime, and possession of ammunition without a Firearm ID Card, amended from firearm violation with one prior violent or drug crime, after a jury trial. He was placed on probation for 2 years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to possession of a class B substance. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug-free, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to submit to random drug tests, and to pay $150 drug fee, $90 victim witness fee, $65 monthly probation fee. A charge of carrying a firearm with ammunition was dismissed.

Christopher S. Roberts, 25, of 3 Wall St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot), and breaking and entering into a building in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, continued to Nov. 12 on $1,000 cash bail; unarmed robbery and vandalizing property, continued to Nov. 12 on $1,000 cash bail.

Eddie Molina, 45, of 69 William St., Worcester, charged with breaking and entering into a vehicle or boat in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, larceny over $250, and malicious destruction of property over $250, continued to Nov. 19 on $500 cash bail.

Jonathan R. McGrath, 28, of 510 Cambridge St., Worcester, charged with five counts of receiving stolen property over $250, two counts of receiving stolen property under $250, and six counts of larceny under $250 by false pretense, continued to Dec. 2.

Jose G. Peralta, 42, of 87 Gates St., Worcester, charged with violation of an abuse prevention order, continued to Nov. 19 on $1,000 cash bail; and possession of heroin, continued to Nov. 19.

Samuel Fosu, 39, of 37 Rodney St., Worcester, charged with driving without a license, found responsible, fined $500; and speeding, found responsible, fined $100.

Hugo L. Viruet, 39, of 7 Fairbanks St., Worcester, charged with possession of an open container of alcohol in public and selling or possessing an electric stun gun, continued to Dec. 3.

Cassi Steele, 24, of 30 Upland Gardens Drive, Worcester, charged with assault and battery and disturbing the peace, continued to Dec. 11.
