Judge James R. Lemire

Jose Rivera, 24, of 1387 Main St., Worcester, was sentenced to two concurrent terms of 31/2 years to 31/2 years and a day in Walpole state prison after pleading guilty to trafficking in cocaine and possession of heroin with intent to distribute. The sentences are to run concurrent with a federal sentence now being served.

Michael J. Brown, 45, of 210 Park Ave., Worcester, was placed on probation for 3 years after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. The charge was amended from trafficking in cocaine. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug-free, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to submit to random drug tests, and to pay $150 legal counsel fee, $150 drug assessment fee, $90 victim witness fee, $65 monthly probation fee.
