Eurides Crump, 25, of 11 Oberlin St., Worcester, was sentenced to 21/2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute. The charge was amended from trafficking in cocaine. He was placed on probation for 1 year, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to intimidation of a witness. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free, to submit to random drug tests, to undergo mental health and substance abuse evaluations with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to submit to a 6-month admission in a substance abuse halfway house program, to stay away and have no contact with the victim, and to pay $150 drug fee, $90 victim witness fee, $65 monthly probation fee. A charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (bottle) was nol prossed. A nol pros or nolle prosequi is a court filing reflecting a prosecutor's decision not to proceed with a criminal case after charges have been brought. A charge of disturbing the peace was dismissed.
