Judge Daniel M. Wrenn

Tyrone Hall, 26, of 12 Sever St., Worcester, was sentenced to 21/2 to 3 years in Walpole state prison after pleading guilty to carrying a dangerous weapon (knife). He was sentenced to a concurrent term of 21/2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to assault and battery on a police officer. He was sentenced to a concurrent term of 21/2 years in the House of Correction after being found guilty of assault and battery after a jury trial. He was found not guilty on charges of attempted murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (floor), threatening to commit a crime (to murder), and three counts of intimidation of a witness after a jury trial. A charge of armed robbery was nol prossed. A nol pros, or nolle prosequi, is a court filing reflecting a prosecutor's decision not to proceed with a criminal case after charges have been brought. A charge of receiving stolen property over $250 was dismissed.

Barry A. Hanson Jr., 30, of 174 Brookfield Road, Charlton, was sentenced to 2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to larceny from a person. The charge was amended from armed robbery. The sentence was suspended for 2 years with probation. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free, to have no contact with and to stay away from the victim and Stop and Shop, Charlton Road, Sturbridge, to undergo substance abuse and mental health evaluations with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, and to pay $830 restitution at $65 month, $150 legal counsel fee, $90 victim witness fee, $65 monthly probation fee.

Juan Ortiz, 29, of 37 Townsend St., Worcester, charged with driving with a suspended license, dismissed, $100 costs; and having a vehicle not meeting the Registry of Motor Vehicles safety standards, found not responsible.

Ivan Rivera, 21, of 38 Bowdoin St., Worcester, charged with driving without a license, found responsible, fined $300.

Tanya A. Morvan, 37, of 90 Birch St., Worcester, charged with driving with a suspended license, continued to July 8.

Jason A. Hagopian, 25, of 124 Southgate St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery, continued to June 6 on $2,000 cash bail.

Amy F. Walsh, 39, of 126 Spruce St., Leominster, charged with assault and battery on ambulance personnel, assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot), and disorderly conduct, continued to June 27.

Robert Henderson, 20, of 96 Orchard Hill Drive, Oxford, charged with vandalizing property, continued to June 27.
