William Baker, 43, of 93 Harvard St., Fitchburg, was sentenced 2 to 4 years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. The charge was amended from failing to register as a sex offender (subsequent offense). He was placed on probation for 3 years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. The charge was amended from failing to register as a sex offender (subsequent offense). As conditions of probation, he was ordered to register as a sex offender and to pay $65 probation fee.

Victor Vasquez-Vega, 28, of 51 Crystal St., Southbridge, was placed on two concurrent terms of 2 years probation after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, amended from trafficking in cocaine, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug free, to undergo mental health and substance abuse evaluations with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to submit to random drug tests, and to pay $150 drug fee, $90 victim witness fee, $65 monthly probation fee. A charge of drug violation near a school or park was dismissed.

Harry Hostos, 52, of 40 Pleasant Valley Drive, Worcester, was sentenced to three concurrent terms of 3 to 4 years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to three counts of armed robbery (knife). He was placed on probation for 3 years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to assault and battery.

Juan Irizarry, 31, of 48 Marshall St., Fitchburg, was sentenced to two concurrent terms of 3 years to 3 years and a day in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to carrying a firearm without a license and malicious damage to a vehicle. He was sentenced to a concurrent term of 2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card. He was placed on probation for 2 years, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to armed assault with intent to murder. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to stay away and have no contact with the victim, not to possess firearms, parts of firearms, clips, or ammunitions, and to pay $65 monthly probation fee. Charges of carrying a firearm with ammunition and assault with a dangerous weapon (firearm) were dismissed.

Brian Sampson, 34, of 38 Siani Road, Rochdale, was sentenced 1 year to 1 year and 1 day in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to burning a building. He was placed on 72 concurrent terms of 10 years probation, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to 29 counts of burning personal property, 30 counts of vandalizing property, three counts of burning a building, five counts of burning a vehicle, and five counts of malicious damage to a vehicle. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to stay away and have no contact with the victim or Gibson's Dairy, to undergo a mental health evaluation with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, and to submit to GPS monitoring. A charge of burning personal property was dismissed.

Keith Landry, 41, of 415 Leicester St., Auburn, was placed on probation for 3 years after pleading guilty to possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute. The charge was amended from trafficking in oxycodone. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free, to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, and to pay $150 drug fee, $90 victim witness fee, $65 probation fee. Charges of distribution of a class B substance and possession of a class B substance were dismissed.

Nicholas C. Scafidi, 32, of 225 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, was sentenced 8 to 9 years in Walpole State Prison after being found guilty of trafficking in cocaine after a jury trial.
