Keith R. Kirk, 23, of 4 Hammond St., Worcester, was found not guilty on charges of armed and masked robbery (gun) and larceny of a vehicle after a jury trial.

Ho Huynh, 28, of 82 Norfolk St., Worcester, was sentenced to 8 to 10 years in Walpole state prison after being found guilty of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after a jury trial. The sentence is to run forthwith and notwithstanding any other sentences now being served. He was placed on probation for 10 years, to begin upon his release, after being found guilty of home invasion after a jury trial. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free, to undergo substance-abuse and mental-health evaluations with treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to submit to random drug tests, to attend an anger-management program, to remain employed, not to possess weapons, to obtain GED if necessary, and to pay $90 victim-witness fee, $65 probation fee. He was found not guilty on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, carrying a firearm with ammunition, possession of a firearm in a felony, and two counts of firearm violation with two prior violent or drug crimes after a jury trial.

James A. Powers, 31, of 49 Litchfield St., Worcester, charged with breaking and entering into a building in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, larceny over $250, larceny under $250 by false pretense, and malicious destruction of property over $250, continued to Aug. 29 on $1,500 cash bail; receiving stolen property over $250, possession of heroin, resisting arrest, larceny under $250 by false pretense, vandalizing property, and larceny over $250, continued to Aug. 29.

Rosario, 37, of 5 Risso Court, Worcester, charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute (subsequent offense), fined $1,000, $50 victim witness fee; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, fined $1,000, $50 victim-witness fee; driving with a suspended license (second or subsequent offense), amended from driving with a suspended license, and driving with a suspended license, filed with a guilty finding; noncompliant aftermarket lighting, found not responsible; and speeding, found responsible, filed.
