Isaac Junior Viera, 42, of Bristol, Conn., was sentenced to 6 to 7 years in Walpole State Prison after pleading guilty to trafficking in cocaine.

Kenneth Perez, 23, of 11 Russell St., Worcester, was sentenced to two cconcurrent terms of 21/2 years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to two counts of carrying a firearm without a license. He was placed on two concurrent terms of 2 years probation, to begin upon his release, after pleading guilty to carrying a firearm with ammunition and intimidation of a witness. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to stay away and have no contact with the victim, not to possess weapons, and to pay $150 legal counsel fee, $90 victim witness fee, $65 monthly probation fee. Charges of possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, possession of a large capacity firearm, and receiving stolen property over $250 were dismissed.

Japhet Caraballo, 35, of 11 Suffield St., Worcester, charged with strangulation or suffocation, assault and battery on a family/household member, and receiving stolen property over $250, continued to Feb. 12 on $2,000 cash bail.

Juan G. Mendez, 32, of 16 Catharine St., Worcester, charged with driving with a suspended license, fined $625, $50 victim witness fee; vehicle lights violation, crosswalk violation, and stop sign violation, found not responsible; driving with a suspended license (subsequent offense), amended from driving with a suspended license, and driving with a suspended license, dismissed without prejudice.

George W. Gichuki, 27, of 86 Everton Ave., Worcester, charged with disturbing the peace, continued without a plea or finding and placed on pretrial probation for 3 months; driving with a suspended license, dismissed without prejudice; and driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent, dismissed.

Matthew T. Dubois, 23, of 19 Southbridge St., Auburn, charged with larceny of a vehicle, dismissed.
