Nicholas Colton, 33, of the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center, Lancaster, was sentenced to five concurrent terms of 3 to 5 years in Walpole state prison, to begin upon his release from another sentence now being served, after pleading guilty to five counts of assault and battery on a correction officer.
Juan Antonio Lopez, also known as Juan Acevedo, of Lawrence, was sentenced to 5 years to 5 years and a day in Walpole state prison after pleading guilty to trafficking in heroin, morphine, or opium. The sentence is to run concurrent with any other sentences now being served.

Leeann Roberts, 47, of 2 Vernon St. Place, Worcester, charged with assault and battery, amended from assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (egg), and assault, amended from assault with a dangerous weapon (egg), continued without a plea or finding and placed on pretrial probation for 3 months, ordered to stay 50 yards away from the victim and to continue with mental health counseling.
Luis F. Alvarez, 56, of 701 Main St., Worcester, charged with larceny over $250, nol prossed. A nol pros or nolle prosequi is a court filing reflecting a prosecutor's decision not to proceed with a criminal case after charges have been brought.

Melendez, 28, of 8 Albert St., Worcester, charged with threatening to commit a crime (to murder) and unarmed burglary and assault, continued to Dec. 7 on $500 cash bail; breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony and putting a person in fear, wanton destruction of property over $250, malicious destruction of property under $250, assault and battery, disturbing the peace, and assault, continued to Dec. 7 on $500 cash bail.
Jairo H. Paes, 18, of 75 Hudson St., Northboro, charged with driving with a suspended license, dismissed, $100 costs; and having no inspection sticker on a vehicle, found responsible, fined $50.
Catherine N. Vickers, 23, of 201 Fairmont Ave., Worcester, charged with driving with a suspended license, dismissed, $100 costs; and vehicle lights violation, found responsible, filed.
