Deal with problems here, not in Syria.

Why do our government leaders feel that this nation has to be the "police of the world?'' As bad as it is, the Syrian situation is none of our business, and I feel that any bombing would bring about more deaths to innocent people than has already occurred.

Assad could easily locate innocent civilians into those target areas of U.S. bombings, and then look how we would look.

We have more problems here at home that need immediate attention. Our infrastructure is in dire need of attention, we have hungry children and adults throughout this country, and some of these people live in substandard housing.

I'm not calling for isolationism, but it is time that our elected leaders get off their war-mongering ways and start addressing the needs of this nation.
