WORCESTER Donald T. Ashley, 63, of Worcester passed away, in his home, on October 3, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He leaves his loving and devoted wife, Virginia (Dyer) Ashley, his daughter Dorothy and her husband Douglas Hatch of Grafton; his two sons, Donald and Derek Ashley of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Michael, Olivia, Kayla, Abigail, Nicholas, Celia and Briley; a sister, Susan Allmon of Orleans and a dear and devoted family friend Jane Aubin of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two half-brothers, Richard and Roland Huberdault, a stepson Robert Landroche and a grandson Nathaniel Ashley.

Don was born in Worcester, son of Thomas and Lillian (Mason) Ashley. He graduated from South High School in 1963. Shortly after, he joined the U.S. Navy Submarine Force. After serving his country, he worked several years for Liberty Construction. Donald loved his country and his American Flag; which he flew everyday. He loved his cookouts with his family and friends.
