Guides, lodges, tackle manufacturers, seminar presenters and many exhibitors will attract anglers to the Fly Fishing Show at the Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlboro today, Saturday and Sunday. Fishing trips worth $34,475 are door prizes that help make this show one of the most rewarding in the entire country.

And without a sportsmen's show at the DCU Center in Worcester this year, Marlboro is a must destination for every serious local fly fisherman.

The top door prize -- worth $15,000 -- is a fishing trip of two nights each for two anglers at Belize River Lodge, Belcamp Lodge, El Pescador Lodge and Turneffe Flats in Belize. Other prizes include a $5,000 trip to the Restigouche River Lodge in New Brunswick, a $4,750 trip to Reel Action Lodge on the Kanektok River in Alaska, and a $3,895 trip to Minor Bay Lodge in Saskatchewan.

Additional prizes include trips hosted by Davidson River Outfitters on the Davidson River in Brevard, North Carolina, and another hosted by Georgetown Coastal Adventures in Georgetown, South Carolina.

Wyoming Fly Fishing also is hosting a trip on the North Platte River in Wyoming, and Sage Rod Company will give away graphite fly rods.

The show will have casting demonstrations and instruction by Jeff Currier, Sheila Hassan, Michael Mauri, Ed Lombardo and John Geer.

Featured fly tyers will include well-known experts Dave Klausmeyer, Alan Caolo, Ben Furimsky, Bob Popovics, Sharon Wright and Nate Brumley.

Seminars include Jason Randall's Nymph Fishing the Three Dimensional River, Bob Shannon's Fly Fishing Pulaski New York and the Great Lake Region, Currier's Trout Bumming the World, Caolo's Night Fishing Strategies and Tactics for Northeast Saltwater, and Lombardo's The Importance of Presentation for New England Waters. 10 seminars are scheduled each day.

Among the 40 Destination Theater presentations are "Fly Fishing the Turneffe Atoll,'' "Fly Fishing the Roaring Fork Colorado & Frying Pan Rivers,'' "Be a Better Bonefish Angler,'' "Sight-Fishing for Great Lakes Carp'' and "Where and How to Catch Trophy Trout in Maine.''

The 2015 International Fly-fishing Film Festival will debut at 6:30 tonight. Films include "Secrets'' by Fly Fusion Films, "Tarpon'' by Marc Crapo Productions, "Recapture'' by Mike Perelli, "The Trout of Cuttyville'' by SOS Fly Fishing, Hank IF4 original film, and "In Search of Grande'' by Anglers Eye Media.
