CLINTON - Edmund J. Mack, Sr., 92, a lifelong resident of Clinton, passed away peacefully in his residence surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 12, 2013. He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Stella (Phillips) Mack; their children & spouses, Edmund J. Mack, Jr. & Nancy of Savannah, GA; Tim Mack of Clinton; Kevin Mack & Wilda of CT; Michelle Frick & Robert of Clinton. He leaves his brother Thomas Mack of Clinton; 9 grandchildren & their spouses, Michael Frick & Shannon, Adam Frick, Gregory Frick, Sarah Shumway & Brian, David Mack & Veronica, Heather Russ & Michael, Derek Mack, Nicole Glover & Dan, Christie Hilliger & Matthew, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He is preceded in death by his son Paul Mack, grandson Robert Frick, Jr., and siblings, James Mack and Doris Mayou.

Ed was born in Clinton to the late James & Delia (Cox) Mack. He graduated from Clinton High School Class of 1938 and obtained his professional degree in business from Becker Junior College. Ed proudly served our nation in the US Coast Guard during WWII. He returned home to begin his life long career in accounting and joined the firm of George A. Smith, where he was employed before establishing his own businesses.
