NORTHBOROUGH - Ellen (Childs) MacAlister, 100, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Auburn Life Care Center.

She leaves behind her 2 sons, Hugh MacAlister and his wife Sarah of AZ, Bruce MacAlister and his wife Marilyn of Northborough; 2 daughters, Christina Gibson and her husband Charles of WA, Ellen "Cookie" Johnson and her husband Stanley of Auburn; 15 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Ellen is predeceased by her husband, Edward L. MacAlister who passed in 1964; a son, Edward "Bill" MacAlister; a daughter, Marion "Toots" Blanchard; a brother, William Childs and a sister, Marion Hohman.
