Enjoy fall at Rauscher Farm.

CLINTON -- Enjoy a fall afternoon of activities, Saturday on Rauscher Farm, town-owned open space and conservation land. Activities include Feathered Friends, a bird walk with Andrew Vitz, ornithologist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; geocaching; letterboxing; and a story walk featuring "The Frog Princess.''

The event is Sept. 13, at 2 p.m. at the farm.

Since introduced on Rauscher Farm a year ago, sleuthing for geocaches has become a very popular farm activity. Clinton resident Ray Stowell has created caches on Rauscher Farm that have garnered high praise from the geocaching community at www.geocaching.com, the website where you can find GPS coordinates for the farm's caches. On Sept. 13, Stowell will be doing a 101 of geocaching for those who've never done it.

Letterboxing and StoryWalk are recently introduced farm activities. Rauscher Farm's hidden letterboxes with their secret treasures are the creative work of Melissa Misiewicz and Kim Covey, two experienced letterboxers. Assisted by Stowell, Misiewicz and Covey, designed the farm's letterboxing adventure with distinctive "critter'' stamps that introduce youngsters to the natural world they can find on Rauscher Farm.Within weeks of the Rauscher Farm letterboxing series going "live'' in July, letterboxers gave Rauscher Farm boxes the week's highest...
