LEICESTER - Ethel (Staruk) Astukewicz, 86, a longtime resident of Leicester passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 in Millbury Healthcare Center. Ethel's husband of 55 years, Kostanty Astukewicz passed away in 2001. Ethel leaves her three beloved children, Barry Astukewicz and his longtime companion Marie Jolly of Sutton, Valerie Jackson of Worcester and Pamela O'Brien of Lake Park, FL; four grandchildren, Kevin O'Brien, Kelly Booth, Joseph Astukewicz and Michael Astukewicz, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ethel was predeceased by her son, David Astukewicz and her brothers, Edward, Walter, Henry, Harry, Joseph and Chester Staruk.

Ethel was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Kramek) Staruk and graduated from Classical High School. She worked at Sharfman Jewelers as an executive secretary for many years before retiring.
