Frances M.

LEICESTER - Frances M. (MacIntosh) Nockunas, 83, of Leicester died peacefully on June 20th. She lost her beloved husband of 52 years, Albin Nockunas, a member of the Worcester Police Department, in 2000. She leaves her son, Michael T. Nockunas and his wife, Lisa M. Carroll, two grandchildren, Michael Eric and Christina, and dozens of foster children she loved and nurtured throughout the years. Fran and her husband Albin opened their hearts and home to over 31 newborn babies for over 25 years through the Children's Friend, Inc., who recently honored her.

She also leaves two brothers, John V. MacIntosh and James C. MacIntosh, both of Leicester; two sisters, Lillian J. Gay of North Brookfield and Carolyn A. Harris of Leicester. She was predeceased by her younger brother, Thomas W. (Buddy) MacIntosh, Jr. Fran was born in Boston, the daughter of Thomas and Frances (O'Bryan) MacIntosh.
